The state broadcaster is due to receive €240 million next year, despite having reached an agreement with the previous government for €725 million in funding over three years, including €260 million earmarked for 2027.
Director General Kevin Bakhurst rejected claims RTÉ is too slow to reform, while Media Minister Patrick O’Donovan said RTÉ is "not being cut" from extra funding.
