Midlands Teen Raises €3,500 In Honour Of Grandad

He's taking on a massive climbing challenge today.

A midlands teenager has raised over €3,500 for the Irish Lung Fibrosis Association.

Oisin Carroll is climbing Carrauntoohil today in honour of his grandfather, who passed away in March of this year after being diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) in 2008.

The 14-year-old from Ballinagar says it will take three hours to get to the top Ireland's highest mountain:
