Three winners from each county have been crowned.
The winners of the Family Carer of the Year for each of the midlands counties has been announced.
Portlaoise' Gemma Lawlor has been recognised in Laois, with Kathleen McMahon from Tullamore the winner in Offaly, and John Grant from Raharney taking home the Westmeath prize.
The awards honour the dedication and compassion of those who make a lasting difference in the lives of the people they care for.
They also remind us that behind every person receiving care stands someone providing it often silently, tirelessly, and without the recognition, rest, or essential supports from the state
