Laois farmers will see the most funding go their way.
Beef farmers across the midlands are set to benefit from a 6.4 million euro cash boost.
Over 3,000 of them will receive a payment as part of the beef finishers scheme, a measure aimed at supporting the beef and suckler sectors.
2.6m will be divided between 1,000 producers in Laois, 2.2 million will go to a similar number in Offaly and 1.5 million euro between 850 farmers in Westmeath.
Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers' Association Beef Chairman Edmund Graham says while the extra funding is welcome, long-term support is what's really needed:
