Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses.
Over €90,000 worth of jewellery has been stolen from homes in Westmeath.
Gardaí believe the culprits targetted the houses.
€82,000 was taken from a house in the Lynn area of Mullingar on Friday at around 6.50pm.
The burglars ransacked the house and stole a personal safe from a wardrobe and the CCTV hard drive from the attic.
Earlier that evening, at around 6.30, €10,000 worth of jewellery was taken from a house in Multyfarnham, after they entered through a kitchen window.
Two other homes in the Lakepoint and Knockdrin areas were also broken into ,and gardaí believe all four cases are connected.
Anyone who may have witnessed anyone acting suspicious in the area is asked to contact Mullingar Garda Station on 044 93 8 400.
