A motorist travelling nearly 30km/h over the speed limit in the midlands was among those charged by Gardaí this week.
Gardaí carried out a speed enforcement operation in Killeshin on Tuesday following concerns from locals.
Motorists were clocked doing 79, 77 and 75 km/h in a 50 zone in the town during the operation, and a number of fixed charge notices were issues.
It comes as 100 people have died on Irish roads so far this year, 10 of which have been in the midlands.
