A Westmeath author is behind a new book detailing similarities between Irish and Indian culture.
Manchán Magan is known for his previous novels and documentary work on Irish and world cultures.
During his travels to India he discovered a likeness in mythologies, language and social structures between Ireland and India.
'Brehons and Brahmins' was published in November of this year and is the first in a trilogy that will also explore what Ireland has in common with Iceland and Australian Aboriginals.
Mr Magan says the similarities came from people who lived over 4,500 years ago:
