Permission has been granted for a new community centre in Westmeath.
The two storey facility, located in Edmondstown, would include a sports hall, a gym and meeting rooms.
A walking track will surround the perimerter of the site, and an astro-turf play area will be relocated with 2 ball walls erected.
Demolition works will also be taking place, with the septic tank to be replaced by a sewage treatment system.
Planning has been given the green light subject to seven conditions.
