New €450,000 Endoscopy System Installed In Westmeath

It'll be in use at the former St. Francis Hospital in Mullingar.

A private hospital in Westmeath will be the first in Ireland to get a €450,000 endoscopy system.

The artificial intelligence system is being installed in Mullingar’s Charter Medical Private Hospital.

It's hoped the CAD EYE technology will improve the detection rate of benign tumors and also aid doctors in establishing if growths on the bowel and other organs are cancerous or not.
