Work on a long-awaited Primary Care Centre in the midlands are expected to get underway this summer.

It's hoped the new facility in Birr, which received planning permission last month, will be operational in early 2025.

The building was proposed more than a decade ago, and will include a number of consulting rooms, treatment areas and an 800 metre-squared surgery space for general practitioners.
