It will give Bord na Móna employees the opportunity to upskill in the area.
A new Midlands Retrofit Training Programme is being launched today.
The six-day course - at the Mount Lucas National Construction Training Facility in Offaly - will offer Bord na Móna employees a QQI level accreditation in Thermal Insulation Installation.
A 26-week Peatlands Rehabilitation Traineeship is also being launched - to allow employees to continue working in the company for the next three to four years.
They're among a number alternative career training courses Bord na Móna and the Laois Offaly Education and Training Board are co-ordinating.
