New Pilot Programme To Tackle Period Poverty In Offaly

The roll-out will deliver free sanitary items at five county council buildings.

Offaly County Council is launching a pilot initiative to tackle period poverty. 

The project is aimed at helping those who might not be able to afford period products or get access to them for social or cultural reasons. 

The roll-out will deliver free sanitary items at five county council buildings providing access to the public.

Social Democrat councillor, Birr's Clare Claffey proposed the motion back in April - she's delighted the pilot is going ahead:
