Laois' Doireann O’Connor is the newest voice to join the Midlands 103 line-up.
Laois' Doireann O’Connor is the newest voice to join the Midlands 103 line-up, as she takes over the airwaves every Thursday night from 10pm to midnight with her brand-new show, Twilight Time.
Twilight Time brings the slow set back to your radio and offers listeners two hours of the greatest classic love songs of all time, the perfect late-night soundtrack to unwind, reminisce and fall in love all over again.
While Doireann is well-known locally and nationally for her talents on stage and screen, this new radio chapter lets her combine her performance skills with her love of music.
A proud Laois woman, Doireann is a dynamic content creator, singer, actor and presenter with a flair for connecting with audiences. She studied Irish Music and Dance at the University of Limerick, went on to achieve a Masters in Education, and trained in Musical Theatre at the Gaiety School of Acting.
Her career has spanned music, television and live performance. from being the lead singer of one of Ireland’s most popular wedding and corporate bands, to featuring in national TV adverts, presenting the music show Fresh Country, and starring in RTÉ’s acclaimed documentary Cosc – The Country Girls.
Now, she’s bringing that same passion and energy to the airwaves of the Midlands. With her trademark warmth and personality, Doireann promises listeners a Thursday night filled with timeless love songs, heartfelt stories, and a touch of magic that only Twilight Time can deliver.
Speaking about her new role, Doireann says “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to have my own show on the radio. I look forward to bringing back those memories through classic love songs and I hope you join me in getting lovey dovey every Thursday night at 10pm on Midlands 103.”
Roy Jennings, Programme Controller and Head of Music says "I'm delighted to have Doireann join the Midlands 103 team. I would also like to thank Colm Wright, who did a fantastic job on the show for the last few years."
Tune in to Twilight Time with Doireann O’Connor — every Thursday from 10pm to midnight, only on Midlands 103.
