The number of patients across the hospital system with the virus has fallen below 500 for the first time in 2021.
There are 116 people with Covid in ICU, compared to 221 during the peak of the third wave.
While 25 people are being treated for covid in midlands hospitals today - the lowest level since 6th January - including eight patients in ICU.
