Tullamore Regional Hospital remains the worst affected.

The number of covid patients in midlands hospitals is at its lowest level since January 2nd.

16 people are being treated for the virus, down from 25 yesterday.

Three patients are in a critical condition in Tullamore Regional Hospital, with no available ICU beds across the midlands today.

The national figure is at its lowest since December 20th, with 232 covid patients in hospital.

While the number of patients in intensive care has dropped to 52 today.
