Mary Minnock and Dearbhaile O'Hare have been nominated for their self-published work.
Two Offaly authors have been shortlisted for awards for independently published books.
Mary Minnock, with her book 'Homesick' is one of six nominated in the fiction category, while Dearbhaile O'Hare is in the non-fiction category with her work 'Things Went Tits Up'.
The Carousel Aware Prize for Indenpendently Published Authors award ceremony will be held in Chapters Bookstore in Dublin on the 1st of November.
