Items such as mirrors and a couch were dumped in an Offaly town over the weekend.
It's being claimed that extra bins being provided by local authorities are being used to dump household waste.
Social Democrats councillor Clare Claffey says items such as mirrors and a couch were left in Banagher this weekend.
She accepts that a lack of bins is an issue and Offaly County Council is working on the matter.
