Offaly Driving Instructor Warns Social Distancing Will Be Impossible

He says there's a backlog of around 7,000 drivers to get through.

An Offaly driving instructor is warning that maintaining social distancing will be impossible for the sector. 

Driving lessons and tests have been on hold since the initial lockdown measures were introduced in mid-March. 

133 testers across Ireland will be working to clear the backlog of around 7,000 drivers if and when they're able to resume. 

Chairman of the Advanced Driving Instructors RSA forum, Michael Davis, is expecting them to clear that figure swiftly:
