Offaly Family Farm Removed From Online Auction Following Protest

The farm was to be sold by a so-called vulture fund earlier today.

An Offaly farm has been removed from an online auction following a protest this morning. 

The Irish Farmers' Association organised the demonstration at the farm in Rhode. 

They called on the holding company 'Everday Finance' to re-engage with the family about a repayment plan for their debt. 

Chairman of IFA's Debt Support Service, Martin Stapleton says the stress caused to families in these situations isn't acceptable:
