Offaly Family Refused Housing Assistance Payment For Being €7 Over Threshold

Councillor Frank Moran believes it should be scrapped.

An Offaly councillor is calling for the Housing Assistance Payment scheme to be scrapped. 

Fianna Fail's Frank Moran believes HAP is unfit for purpose and should be replaced. 

The social housing support is provided by all local authorities and the current threshold for a single person with two children is 26,250 euro
