Offaly County Council is hoping to build on the success of Shane Lowry by setting up a golf festival.

The tourism officer Olive Farrelly is working and engaging with a consultant to establish a marketing plan for the county.

The Chief Executive Anna Marie Delaney says the Visit Offaly Tourism Group is doing a considerable amount of work with the local authority.

She says they want to capitalise on what the county has to offer:
