The event runs from today until this Sunday.
Playwriting is being celebrated in Offaly this week.
Scripts: Ireland's Playwriting Festival, which is marking its 12th edition, will get underway today and run until this Sunday, and will be held in Birr.
This year saw a record-breaking 183 script submissions on the theme of Desire from writers across ten countries.
Three playwrights have been selected to take part in a week-long residential development programme with mentor Eugene O'Brien.
The four-day festival features performances of Love in the Wild, The Quiet Men, Footnote and Elysium Nevada, alongside workshops with Abbey Theatre dramaturg Emily Reilly and playwright Ultan Pringle.
