Charlie Mitchell only returned to action last month following months on the sideline.
Offaly Hurling Captain Charlie Mitchell is recovering in hospital this morning after becoming unwell following their clash at home to Kilkenny yesterday.
The 22 year old played the full 70 minutes for his side in O'Connor Park less than 24 hours ago, but was rushed to St James' Hospital in Dublin and he underwent a procedure after he felt unwell at full time.
In a statement, Offaly County Board says “We spoke with the Mitchell family this morning, who confirmed that he is recovering well and remains in good spirits.”
The Kilcormac Killoughey man returned to action last month at home to Dublin in the opening round of the Leinster Championship, where he put in a Man of the Match display, ending with 1-3.
