An Offaly man killed in a road collision last week is being laid to rest today.
85-year-old John Hoolan was hit by vehicle while out walking on the Roscrea to Shinrone road last Thursday evening.
His funeral mass will take place at 12 o'clock today in St. Mary's Church, Dunkerrin, followed by burial in the adjoining new cemetery.
Mr. Hoolan was an active member of the community throughout his life, having been president of the local Fianna Fáil cumann.
