An Offaly man with scoliosis is taking on a massive walking challenge in honour of his late father.
Gary Farrell's dad Peadar passed away a couple of weeks ago while waiting for a lung transplant.
He had been suffering from a condition called Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Rhode man Gary - who's also the founder of Scoliosis Ireland - is walking the 86 kilometres from the Mater Hospital in Dublin to Offaly, while carrying his dad's 4 kilogram oxygen tank, on July 19th and 20th.
He's hoping to raise funds for the heart and lung ward at the Mater Hospital:
