Offaly Community First Responders and Fire Service is doing a marathon in full fire kit to raise funds for a defibrillator.
The Edenderry groups aim to raise €1,600, for the installation at St. Mary’s Church in Edenderry.
Additional funds raised will support the upkeep of existing community defibrillators in the surrounding areas.
The marathon is taking place at the Derry Rovers track on Wednesday, June 24, starting at 5pm.
The Edenderry CFR Group has agreed to take responsibility for the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the church based defibrillator.
