An Offaly paramedic suffering with Covid 19 is finally out of intensive care.  

Paula King Delaney has been battling the illness for three weeks - and was almost placed on a ventilator last Friday.

In a Facebook post, which has been shared over 8,000 times in less than 24 hours, she admits she has never been so scared, lonely or depressed. 

She says she's still very  weak and shaky but is heading the right direction now.

I'm out of ICU 😁😁. Very weak and shaky but I'm heading the right direction now. Still have a long way to go to get home...
