Offaly Sees Second Highest Flu Rate In Ireland Over Festive Period

Laois was the least affected county with the flu.

Offaly recorded the second highest number of flu cases in Ireland last week over the festive period.

The latest figures from the HSE shows there were 95 confirmed cases per 100,000 people in the county.

Westmeath follows at 84.2, with the average national number standing at just 39.8.

While Laois managed to avoid this year's surge, recording the lowest figure at just 3.3 per 100,000.
