An up and coming Offaly singer is being praised after a piece of her music was used on Love Island.

'The Author' by Ferbane's Luz Corrigan played out during a sequence on last night's episode, which had a record-breaking number of viewers.

The 19 year-old singer took to Twitter to say it was "mad" hearing it on a programme watched by 2.6 million people in the UK alone.
