An Offaly woman has been named the 2026 Comfort Keepers Carer of the Year.
Vanessa Craven was presented with the national award during a special Comfort Keepers National Day of Joy event held at the company’s Tullamore office yesterday.
The initiative highlights the importance of home care in the Irish health system, emphasising community-based support, meaningful connection, and dignity for those receiving care.
Ms Craven was named Midlands and Offaly regional winner at a Croke Park ceremony before being selected as the national winner from 18 finalists across Ireland, in recognition of her dedication and high standards of care.
