An 83 year old Offaly woman who survived Covid-19 says coming home was the best day of her life.
Neighbours gathered in Rhode yesterday to welcome Mary Jo Kilmurray and her Garda escort.
She fell and broke her hip in her kitchen in March and was recovering in hospital in Tullamore, when she later contracted coronavirus.
But she's since recovered and is glad to be back home with her family.
She says she was shocked by the reception she received:
