A Laois man will be attending his fourth Olympic Games in Paris.
Even the judges for the Olympics have to prove their worth to earn a spot in the games.
Owner of Portlaoise Gymnastic Club, Denis Donoghue, is gearing up to judge the gymnasts at this year's Olympic Games in Paris, making his fourth appearance at the competition.
Judges are assessed on their ability to score other contests in the four-year period between the Olympics, with the top 42 from that pool selected to judge the event.
Mr. Donoghue says the standard of gymnastics has gotten higher since he first started judging in the 1990s:
