Over 1,300 People Looking For Housing In Offaly

One local rep thinks the council should build themselves, instead of waiting on housing agencies.

Over 1,300 people are looking for housing in Offaly, according to one local councillor.

Sean O'Brien says the 406 houses set to be built over the next three years are not sufficient.

There are currently 800 HAP supported tenancies and 522 people on the social housing support list.
