The highest in the region has been in the Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar, with over 1,700 people waiting for a bed so far in 2023.
Next is in MRH Portlaoise, at 725 and in Tullamore there have been 34, one of the lowest in the country.
Nationally, over 101,240 patients have been left waiting on trolleys to date this year; the highest number is in University Hospital Limerick with over 17,000 people have been waiting on trolleys.
