Nationally, more than 1,600 cyclists have been seriously injured on Irish roads in the same span.
Over 40 cyclists have been fatally or seriously injured in the midlands in a five year span.
Figures from the RSA show Offaly had the most cyclists involved in one of these incidents between 2016 and 2021, at 17.
That's followed by 15 in Westmeath, and 11 in Laois.
Serious injuries endured by cyclists in the region include fractures, concussions and 'crushing.'
