New funding announced by the Department of Tourism is the largest ever under the SCEP.

The Department of Tourism and Sport have announced €26m in funding under the latest round of the Sports Capital and Equipment Programme, the largest ever in this scheme.
Westmeath received the highest amount in the region at €731,000, followed by Offaly with over €453,000 and Laois have been given over €388,000.
More than 900 sports groups who applied for funds for equipment were successful.
Minister for Sport, Catherine Martin says: "The significant funding announced today will assist a vast range of sporting organisations around the country and be a great source of support to local teams on and off the field of play."
