Pay Gap Falls In Favour Of Women In Midlands Local Authority

Employers with more than 250 employees in Ireland are now required to publish their gender pay gap data.

Women are earning more than men in Offaly County Council according to the local authority's Gender Pay Gap report.

The 2022 document shows a mean Gender Pay Gap of 4% in favour of women.

The report also indicated that the median rate of pay for women was 9% higher than the same rate for men.

The gender pay gap measures the difference in the pay of all men in a company and all women.
