Aontú leader Peadar Tóibín intends on running in the forthcoming general election after this Euopeans.

A war of words has broken out between two midlands European Election candidates.

It's over Aontú's decision to run their party leader as a candidate in the Midlands Northwest constituency.

Fianna Fail's Barry Cowen is slamming Peadar Tóibín's decision to run.

The leader of Aontú has stated if he wins a seat in Europe, he will vacate it to run for the Dail in the Meath West constituency when a general election is called.
