Mountrath's Ken Mooney will represent the party as the youngest candidate yet to declare in the county at the age of 23.
He graduated from University of Limerick with a masters degree in Politics and joined the party at the age of 20.
Mr Mooney will focus on the cost of living crisis, emigration and education.
