Epilepsy Ireland is asking people to take on the 'Purple Pledge'.
There are over 2,000 people in the midlands living with epilepsy.
The figure is being highlighted on the biggest fundraising day for the condition, Purple Day.
Of that figure, 900 are living in Westmeath, followed by 800 in Laois and 700 in Offaly.
With over 45,000 people in the country with the condition, Epilepsy Ireland is asking the public to take the Purple Pledge, which asks you to take on a challenge of your choosing to raise funds.
Walking, running, hiking or cycling are some of the most common tasks people set themselves to raise money, all while wearing purple.
