Planned Makeover Of Midlands Towns Could Be Interrupted If Dates Not Revised

So says councillors in Laois who think the deadline for completion is too tight.

A planned makeover of midlands towns may be interrupted if deadlines aren't revised. 

The Streetscape Enhancement Initiative provides funding for businesses to freshen up their appearance, on condition work is completed by November 1st.

Laois councillors say it's an unrealistic timeframe due to a trade skills shortage and is calling on the Minister for Rural Development to amend the requirement.
