Planning Permission Granted For Westmeath Apartments

Westmeath County Council are approving the conversion of Mullingar's Millmount House.

Planning permission has been officially granted to transform a listed building into apartments in Westmeath.

Plans lodged by Patrick Mulligan last April received approval by Westmeath County Council for the conversion of Millmount House in Mullingar into apartments.

The project involves tearing down an existing shed and a three-storey rear annexe to build seven new residential units, subject to 21 conditions.

Plans also include the building of a two-storey terrace of three two-bedroom houses and converting the main house into two one-bedroom apartments, with an additional two two-bedroom apartments in a new three-storey rear extension.

A new car parking and road layout, a new gate at entrance to the development and a new pedestrian entrance along the Ballinderry road are also in the works.
