The developer is appealing a planning condition to An Coimisiún Pleanála.
Plans for a major redevelopment in Laois is being delayed after the developer appealed a planning condition.
The project includes 217 homes, retail units, a restaurant, offices, and a crèche on the 4.96-hectare site at the former Centrepoint Shopping Centre in Portlaoise.
Laois County Council approved the scheme last month but attached 28 conditions.
Centrepoint Partners is challenging a drainage-related requirement, arguing it would cost up to €500,000 and is unnecessary.
An Coimisiún Pleanála is expected to decide on the appeal by September 23, 2026.
