The development had received planning permission in October.
Plans for a new solar farm in the midlands have been appealed to An Bord Pleanala.
Elgin Energy Services Limited had received 10-year planning permission for the development in the townlands of Clondoolusk, and Trascan in Offaly in October.
Those plans included the provision of solar PV panels on mounted steel supported structures and 18 single-storey inverter stations, which would be based on a near 40 hectare site.
The development would have a life span of 40 years, according to the online file.
The future of plans for the site is now with An Bord Pleanála, which is due to make a decision on the case in March.
