The Health and Safety Authority is investigating the matter.
A post-mortem is due to be carried out on the body of a man who died in a workplace incident on the Westmeath Offaly border.
Gardaí responded to the call-out at a premises in Rochfortbridge yesterday morning, where a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has since been taken to Regional Hospital Tullamore, where a post-mortem will be conducted in due course.
A file will also be prepared for the coroner.
The Health and Safety Authority also attended the scene, and is carrying out an investigation.
