Gabrielle McFadden says whoever is nominated by Fine Gael will have the party's full support.
This comes following Mairead McGuinness stepping down as a presidential candidate yesterday due to health reasons.
Heather Humphries, Francis Fitzgerald and Sean Kelly have now moved into the frame as the potential new candidates to work in Áras an Uachtaráin.
