Prison Officers Consider Strike Ballot Over Pay

It's the latest union to signal the possibility of industrial action over public sector pay.

Prison officers in the midlands could be balloted for strike.

Its the latest trade union to announce potential industrial action over public sector pay.

The last wage agreement expired a few weeks ago, and there don't appear to be any firm plans from government to renegotiate a new deal.

The INMO is balloting its members on possible strike action over it, while the National Executive Council of the Prison Officers Association says it will meet next week to decide on a national ballot.
