There could be a Tullamore - Galway route introduced.
Proposed changes to Irish Rail's Heuston - Galway route would see additional services provided for the midlands.
This would see stations such as Tullamore, Clara, Portarlington and Athlone benefit from both later and earlier train services.
A service would run from Tullamore to Galway, also serving Clara and Athlone, leaving at 7:27am and arriving at 8:58am.
Other additional services would include:
05:45am Heuston - Galway (Mon-Fri)
20:30pm Heuston - Galway (Mon-Sat) stops include Tullamore, Clara and Athlone
09:05am Galway - Heuston (Mon-Fri) stops include Athlone, Clara, Tullamore and Portarlington
20:50pm Galway - Heuston (Mon-Sat) stops include Clara, Tullamore and Portarlington
10:30am Heuston - Galway (Sun) stops include Portarlington, Tullamore, Clara and Athlone
13:40pm Galway - Heuston (Sun) stops include Athlone, Clara, Tullamore and Portarlington
