The move would've seen 30 refugees transferred to Offaly.
Plans to move refugees out of Borrisokane have been halted after a major protest.
Hundreds turned out to oppose the plans, which would see 30 people, who were previously granted permission to stay in the town in 2019, evicted from the Riverside Centre.
They had been offered alternative accommodation in Birr, in Offaly.
However, Labour TD, Alan Kelly, has confirmed the move has been halted, with Integration Minister, Roderic O'Gorman, committing to finding solutions locally with Tipperary County Council.
In a post on social media, he's called on the State to sit down with the local committee and public representatives to plan a way forward.
