Newly crowned Queen Of The Land Sinead Conry hopes to show that you can earn a living from farming - while maintaining another job.
Roscommon’s Sinead Conry claimed the tiara on the final night of the festival at the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore.
The 22-year-old from the Elphin Macra club is a student of Environmental Health Science at DIT and is a second generation queen, after her mother competed in 1983.
Now in its 55th year, the event is sponsored by Tullamore Credit Union and hosted by Midlands 103’s Will Faulkner.
The newly crowned queen believes many people don't fully grasp the cost of running a farm each day.
Ms. Conry operates her own farm on a part-time basis says a second job brings stability:
